The Uniform Standards go into effect when other rules are promulgated that point to them. It is expected that rules for the Refinery and Chemical Manufacturing industry sectors will be proposed soon, and finalized around the end of the year. There will then be a compliance period specified. Industry is advocating for a 10-year compliance period, but the rule does not presently offer this extended compliance period.
